DataNinja reads a spreadsheet, cleans it, and shows you what it did. It is free to use, with no account and no obligation on either side. We may change or withdraw it at any time.
The cleaning is deterministic arithmetic, tested against a suite of hand-written examples, and it still can't know what your file means. It may read a column the wrong way, reject a row you wanted, or take a figure for something it isn't. That's why nothing is silently altered and every row is accounted for.
So: the service is provided as it is, without guarantees. Don't use the output as your only basis for a financial, tax, legal or business decision without checking it. If it's going to a regulator, an auditor or the ATO, check it twice.
Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded — and this paragraph doesn't try to.
You keep every right in the data you upload. We claim nothing over it, and we don't keep it — see Privacy. You do need to have the right to upload it in the first place, and if it contains other people's personal information, that's your responsibility to handle properly.
Please don't upload anything malicious, don't try to break the service, and don't hammer it with automated traffic. It runs on a small server paid for by one person.
There is nothing to pay for today. Everything here is free, including every figure the report can work out — there is no locked section, no trial, and nothing on the site that costs money or asks for a card.
When there is a price it will be shown in Australian dollars, GST included, on the button before you press it. Your rights to a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law will apply to anything you buy, and we'll honour them.
